The Rules and Outline for the 2024/2025 for the U7-U11’s Champions League
- All Divisions have been split into 2 groups of between 3 to 5 teams (for example U7a Champions League North and U7a Champions League South), with the exception of U10B – this only has one division of 5
- If you in a group of 5 teams you will have an your last group fixture on on 27th April
All teams play each other once within group, the league position will determine whether they progress with the top 2 from each division progressing to the semi finals
Example
For examples in a Table 5 the top 2 teams will progress to the semi final and the bottom three in each group will be eliminated and will continue to play friendlies for the remainder of the season (last date May 18th)

Champions league knockout semi final on 11th May
North 1st place v South 2nd Place
South 1st Place v North 1st Place
For U10B the top 4 will progress to semi final
1st v 4th
2nd v 3rd
The final will be held on the 18th May
League Position determination
- Teams will be awarded 3pts for a win and 1 for a draw.
- Teams tied on points will then be determined by
- goal difference
- then goals scored
- then head to head
- Any fixtures cancelled by a team having made themselves available to play in a block of fixtures will result in the points being awarded to the opposition with a 3-0 victory
Player Eligibility
- Players can be signed until Saturday 22nd March, but may not be signed specifically for the final round of the competition (unless agreed by the league under exceptional circumsatances)
- Players cannot play for 2 teams throughout this competition (including within the same club), points will be forfeited and the result will be awarded to the opposition if found to be playing unregistered players.
- You are only permitted to register twice the number of players as start on the pitch. E.g 5v5 can register 10 players)
Other Rules
- Teams must still adhere to the Mercy rule (a team 5 goals behind may bring on additional player, and another at 7 goals), if the goal difference decreases by 2 goals (to 3 or 5) then the player must be removed.
- The match up rule is still in effect. This means that if a team can only field 4 or 6 players, the opposition must match up. Repeated occurrences of fielding insufficient players will be monitored by the league ( this may impact entry into future competitions.)
