The following is the structure of the Winter League season 2024/2025 for the U12’s
U12A - 6 teams - play each other twice
U12B -11 teams - play each other once
U12C - 11 teams - play each other once
League Position determination
Teams will be awarded 3pts for a win and 1 for a draw.
Teams tied on points will then be determined by goal difference then goals scored
Any fixtures cancelled by a team having made themselves available to play in a block of fixtures will result in the points being awarded to the opposition with a 3-0 victory
Player Eligibility
Players can be signed throughout the season, but may not be signed specifically for the final round of the competition (unless agreed by the league)
You are only permitted to register 18 players per team at one time
Other Rules
Teams must still adhere to the Mercy rule (a team 5 goals behind may bring on additional player, and another at 7 goals), if the goal difference decreases by 2 goals (to 3 or 5) then the player must be removed.
The match up rule is still in effect. This means that if a team can only field 7 or 8 players, the opposition must match up. Repeated occurrences of fielding insufficient players will be monitored by the league ( this may impact entry into future competitions.)
